Royal Crimson Ruby Diamond Pendant Set in Yellow Gold

We named this set carefully. Crimson is not the same word as red, and it is not the same thing either. Crimson has depth and weight. It carries a richness that lighter reds do not. When we were selecting the rubies for the Royal Crimson set, the target tone was clear from the beginning. The stones needed to read as genuinely royal in their colour, not decorative and not ornamental, but real. The ruby in the pendant alone is 4.59 carats. The earrings carry 3.4 carats. Those are not accent stones.

Every piece in this set is built in yellow gold, which was the natural choice. Yellow gold and crimson ruby have a long history together in fine jewelry, and it is not a coincidence. The warmth in the metal mirrors the warmth in the stone and the two elevate each other without either one dominating. The diamonds in each piece, 0.434 carats in the pendant, 0.181 in the earrings and 0.104 in the ring, are placed to frame the ruby rather than compete with it. Their job is to define the edge and reflect the light back toward the centre stone.

The ring in this set is intentionally the lightest piece at 2.5 grams. The pendant and earrings carry the drama and the ring holds its place without trying to match them. The ruby at 0.790 carats in the ring is still a meaningful stone, but the design gives the pendant and earrings space to be what they are. This is a set that was thought through in terms of hierarchy, not just aesthetics.

We made the Royal Crimson for the woman who does not soften her choices. When she enters a room wearing this set, the ruby speaks first. We think that is exactly how it should be.
