The name Aurora refers to the quality of light at dawn. A specific kind of light, warm and directional, that makes everything it touches look considered rather than simply illuminated. We chose that name for this ring because of how the four diamonds sit in the 14K yellow gold setting and catch the light from different angles as you move through the day. It is a ring that behaves the way its name suggests.
At 1.82 grams in yellow gold, the Aurora is a ring built for wearing rather than for displaying. The weight is intentional. It is present on the finger without dominating it, which means you register it without thinking about it constantly. That quality, what we sometimes think of as settled presence, is one of the most difficult things to achieve in a ring at this scale and it is one of the first things an experienced wearer recognises.
The four diamonds are placed to create balance across the ring face without imposing a rigid symmetry that would make the piece feel formal when it should feel natural. Their positioning was arrived at through several rounds of revision, each one moving toward the arrangement that made the most sense for a ring worn in real life rather than viewed only in a display case.
We made the Aurora for the woman who wants a diamond ring she can reach for on any morning without having to think about it. Not a ring for special occasions, but a ring for every day that happens to be made with the level of care usually reserved for something you only wear once. That combination is what we were aiming for, and we believe we found it.
